The rings of the Akatsuki are first seen in the original Naruto series when the group is introduced as a group of powerful ninjas who are after the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. The rings are later seen in the Naruto Shippuden series, when the Akatsuki is revealed to be after the tailed beasts.
